A central part of brain and mental health is finding ways to calm the mind. To stop overthinking, to pause, to find. a happy peaceful escape, just for a while
So check out this video. Very simple but very effective, soaring over mountains and rivers around the world, with a background of peaceful music. And even better – it runs for nearly 4 hours.
But even four minutes might just be enough.
Not only is mental health amongst kids and teens a growing crisis, but how they think about mental health as adults starts when they’re much younger.
Which means that not only is it essential to give them the tools they need to cope now, but coping skills that will last a lifetime.
Their brains grow fastest during their teen years, and that’s the best chance we have of making sure they grow the best way possible.
And that means that we have to find the best ways possible to get them comfortable thinking and talking about mental health. And here’s a hint, it doesn’t have to start with words like depression, sadness, and suicide.
There are much better ways to get there.
